This trek to Waqrapukara, also known as the Horn-shaped Inca Fortress, invites you to explore an ancient archaeological site that served multiple purposes. Waqrapukara functioned as a noble residence, an astronomical observatory, and a religious center, fortified with watchtowers and underground pathways for added protection. Originally constructed by the Canchis people, the site was later integrated into the Inca Empire. Waqrapukara has been recognized as a Cultural Heritage of Peru since 2017.
