Explore the short version of the Inca Trail on a 12 km trail. During this time we will take you through the Inca pass, from the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the citadel of Machu Picchu, you will discover breathtaking landscapes, witness the climatic changes and the ecosystem adapting to the Andean heights and semi-tropical forests in the heart of Machu Picchu park.
A private transfer and a representative of the agency will be waiting for you at the airport of Cusco (3,400 m) for the transfer to your hotel. Around 13:00, we will go to your hotel to start discovering the city of Cusco: the Plaza de Armas, main square of the town since its foundation in Inca times, the Monastery of Santo Domingo Church built on the foundations of the Koricancha Temple (Temple of the Sun) and in its interior, the most representative jewel of the Inca architecture, as well as its alleys and authentic constructions of the Inca and colonial times. We will continue visiting the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, which are located on the outskirts of the city of Cusco. Return to the hotel around 18:00. Dinner at an exclusive restaurant in the city and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at your hotel. At 7:30 am, a private vehicle and your guide will pick you up at the hotel to take you to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the village of Pisac (2,972 m), famous for its handicraft market and then, at the top of the mountain you will discover the archaeological site of Pisac (3,272 m) which is part of a historical site built with every rich piece of the Sacred Valley and its Inca communities. Continuing the journey, we enter the village of Maras Moray and an unpaved road will take you to the community of Misminay (3,700 m).

If you are looking for an attractive center with less crowds compared to Pisac; we propose an alternative to visit Chinchero, the land of the Rainbow. The archaeological park of Chinchero, the colonial church and its surroundings at its best will transport you through history.y.
Breakfast in Misminay. Feel the freedom of mountain biking through a downhill route, which will allow you to discover the summit of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This route combines magnificent views of the Sacred Valley and the daily life of the peasants. We will also visit two of the most important tourist centers; Moray is characterized by its various circular terraces with different microclimates and the salt mines of Maras (3,380 m) which has been used since pre-Inca times to obtain and supply salt in the Cusco region. Then we will take the road to the town of Ollantaytambo, during which we will be able to admire the beautiful landscapes of mountains, peaks and snow-capped mountains. Visit of Ollantaytambo (2,800 m), which is considered the last Inca village thanks to its houses and narrow streets, remains of Inca constructions, as well as its archaeological centre. Overnight and dinner in the village of Ollantaytambo.
Breakfast at the hotel. We board the train from Ollantaytambo to Km 104, the start of the Inca Trail. From Km 104, we discover the Inca Trail network and the archaeological site of Chachabamba (2,270 m), a place where agricultural products were collected to supply the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Then, we continue along a sloping path with impressive views of the upper part of the Vilcabamba mountain range and the lower part of the Urubamba River, where the flora and its different species have been able to develop thanks to the microclimates of the region. A short and steep gradient will take us inside the main archaeological site of Wañayhuayna (2,700 m), a fabulous urban complex, perched on a rocky outcrop, overlooking the Urubamba Valley and dominated by a vast set of terraces.
After lunch, we head towards the Inti Punku (The Sun Gate) located at 2,780 meters, and contemplate a beautiful sunset with a view of the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Later we descend to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu (2,400 meters), to take some pictures considering that the official visit will take place the next day. A tourist bus awaits us to take us to the town of Aguas Calientes (2,050 metres), where we will settle in a comfortable hotel.
After breakfast, we leave our hotel to take the first bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu (30 minutes of transport). The sunset and the company of our bilingual guide will allow you to discover the Inca culture in the territory of Tahuantinsuyo (4 regions of the Inca Empire), as well as the cults and ceremonies that took place in the numerous temples and sacred places present in the citadel. After the guided tour, you will enjoy the magic of the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, to take some pictures in memory of your own experience. Lunch at the Tinkuy Sanctuary lodge restaurant: a buffet lunch experience while visiting Machu Picchu!
Afterwards, we will return to Aguas Calientes town to board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our transport will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Updated Machu Picchu Circuits for Better Visitor Management
The Ministry of Culture of Peru has revised the circuits in the Inca city of Machu Picchu to enhance visitor capacity management. Effective from June 1st to October 15th, and on December 30th and 31st, 2024, three new circuits comprising 10 different routes will be in place to explore Machu Picchu. These new routes aim to streamline visits and offer a better experience while preserving the integrity of this ancient site.
